Dr. Teresa A. Baker

Teresa A. Baker, Ph.D. Is the founder of T.A.B Educational Consultants. T.A.B. was designed to support K-12 – Pre-Service Teachers and educational institutions to navigate through today’s increasingly challenging learning environments. Today’s educational system has unprecedented demands on students, parents, administrators, teachers, and staffs.
The global pandemic has forever changed the educational landscape in ways that call for innovative practices, flexible mindsets, and the ability to create dynamic learning environments. T.A.B. Educational Consultants are aligned with successful educators to share their experiences and expertise with clients.

Dr. Baker has served as a Teacher, District Level Curriculum Facilitator, Magnet Coordinator and Principal. She received her BS in Education and MS in Education from Butler University. Dr. Baker also has a MSM in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University and earned her Ph.D. at Indiana State University in Educational Leadership. She received the Fred Swalls Award in Educational Leadership in the Ph.D. cohort. Dr. Baker also received the Olin-Davis Award for Economic Education and was a Key Teacher IUPUI Economic Program.
Dr. Baker is an adjunct professor at IUPUI in the School of Education. She currently serves on the Arts for Learning Indiana Board of Directors as Vice-Chair and serves on the Executive Committee. Dr. Baker also Co-Chairs the DEIA Committee. She is also a member of the for the Children’s Policy & Law Initiative of Indiana. Dr. Baker also has served as a Positive School Discipline Institute as a Certified Master Trainer Program for school Trauma Lead Coaches.

Dr. Monica A. Medina

Monica A. Medina, Ph.D., Curriculum and Instruction Indiana University, MS Education, and Student Affairs, Indiana University, BA. Speech and Audiology. Dr. Medina is a Clinical Professor, Urban Educator Teacher -Secondary Education, and Urban Education Studies at IUPUI.
Dr. Medina has been recognized for numerous accomplishments; United Way of Central Indiana-Lis Daily Outstanding Service Award, The Hispanic American Service Award, La Plaza Inc, United States Regional, Campus, Nominated for the Hispanic Hero Award, United States Office of Minority Health Award, Latina Educator of the Year Indianapolis Award.

Dr. Medina has a comprehensive repertoire of expertise ranging from Urban Education to curriculum and instruction developing full-service community schools and partnerships, Cultural Competency, Implicit Bias, Social Justice, Trauma -Informed Best Practices, Integration of Multicultural content, external grant and program evaluations, closing the academic achievement gap, behavior management and educational projects. Dr. Medina is bi-lingual (English and Spanish).

Dr. Tim Long

Timothy D. Long, Ed.D has served in a variety of leadership positions, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Director of Operations, Budget Coordinator and Consulting. Dr. Long has been extremely successful as an educational leader with his school district earning the top ten ISTEP scores in the state of Indiana during his Superintendency. His school received the distinguish Blue Ribbon Elementary School Rating, and 95% graduation rates. He is a knowledgeable innovative, published and is recognized by peers as an outstanding leader.
Dr. Long has a long list of accolades AEAI-Administrator of the Year in Indiana-The Art Education Association of Indiana, noted in the District Administration Leadership Magazine-Selected one of 60 Superintendents Nationally to Attend Leadership Institute and appointed to National CTB-McGraw Hill Acuity Oversight Committee and the Magna State Manufacturing Award

Dr. Long is currently serves as a Grant Specialist for Daleville Community Schools. He is responsible for writing elective/ competitive grants for District as assigned. Dr. Long has proven to be successful in writing grants for teacher support and special needs programs. He serves as the liaison for community foundation grants, Covid/FEMA/Governmental grants and is the recipient FEMA/Ball Foundation/Delaware Community/George Frances Ball Foundation/District/District Technology Grants/Indiana3E/Indiana GEER Grant/USDA Farm to School/EARN Grant Indiana. Additionally, Dr. Long is the Senior Advisor of the Job Shadowing and Internship Project.
He serves as a Financial Consultant to the Ball State Charter Office. Reviews and critiques budgets for proposed Charter schools. Make recommendations for both closure strategies to keep schools on track. In addition, Dr. Long teaches Department of Educational Leadership, Administrative School Finance and Supervises Administrative Interns.
He received his Doctorate from Ball State University, Muncie IN., Indiana University, Bloomington Graduate and Murray State University, Murray, KY.

Dr. Cathi Cornelius

Dr. Cornelius completed her undergraduate degree in elementary education from Oklahoma State University; her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Northeastern State University; and her doctorate (Ed.D.) in curriculum and supervision from Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Cornelius served as an elementary classroom teacher for eight years. She also served as an elementary building administrator for two years and a Title I parent-school-community coordinator for two years. Dr. Cornelius has worked as a gifted and talented coordinator and g/t state evaluator. She has taught both higher education undergraduate and graduate courses at four different universities since 1999 (for nearly two and a half decades).

She was selected “Excellent Educator” by the Oklahoma City Public School Foundation in 1995, recipient of “The Franciscan Values Award” at Marian University in 2014, and recognized with the “Excellence in Teaching Award” by Marian University Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success-Sigma Alpha Pi in 2019, awarded a “Black Excellence in Recognition of an African American Excellence in Education Award” Indiana, 2020, granted a “Franciscan Values of Engagement Award in Recognition of Exemplary Presentation” at the Marian University Community Engagement Showcase in 2022.

Currently, Dr. Cathi Cornelius continues to serve as an Associate Professor and Director of Applied Educational Studies at Marian University in Indianapolis.

Neiko Gilbert-is an innovative teacher leader who is effective in creating culture-climate learning environments that meet the needs of students. She specializes in developing standard-based and data driven instructional strategies that focuses on improving students’ self-esteem and achieving measurable academic improvement. She received her BS in Education from the University of Phoenix and MS in Education from Butler University. Ms. Gilbert is currently working on her doctorate at Capella University.

Areas of Expertise

She provides professional development in the areas of Cultural and Instructional Support. As a teacher she focuses on deep learning to help students to master academic standards while including SEL strategies to provide students with confidence and self-worth. Ms. Gilbert serves as a mentor and coach to teachers and administrators for academic improvement and skills mastery. Her classroom data supports implemented instructional strategies. She conducts formal and informal classroom observations, provides feedback sessions and cycles back to ensure feedback and practice implemented.
